Dr. Krupal Prabhakar Pawar is a mechanical engineer with approximately 15 years of combined academic and industrial R&D experience, currently serving as Vice Principal and IQAC Incharge at Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Ahilyanagar. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (2019), a Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2025), and is pursuing a D.Sc. His career spans design and development work at Birla Precision Technologies (production lines, fixtures, and special tooling) and progressively senior academic roles across several engineering institutions.

His research centers on advanced materials and manufacturing — notably natural and hybrid fiber-reinforced polymer composites for sustainable automotive and aerospace applications, residual stress analysis and optimization in hard turning of tool steels, and the integration of AI and IoT into engineering systems. He has authored around 14 journal publications indexed in Scopus, SCI-E, and E-SCI (Web of Science), alongside multiple IEEE and Springer conference papers.

In intellectual property, he has filed and published 10 national patents (8 granted), holds 2 granted international design patents and 1 utility patent, and has been granted 5 copyrights by the Government of India — reflecting a strong translational, innovation-driven orientation.

His scholarly output includes six authored books and four book chapters published through international presses in Germany and India. He contributes to the research community as a journal reviewer, an Editor-in-Chief, a Ph.D. research guide, and a co-mentor on Post-Doctoral Fellowship projects, and he has received competitive research funding.

He has been recognized with international, national, state, and institutional awards, including the Bangkok Young Scientist Award (2019), the Outstanding Researcher Award (2019), and several honors for research and patent contributions. He holds professional memberships across engineering societies in India, the UK, USA, Japan, and Hong Kong.
